These results will then be discussed with parents/caregivers, and recommendations for intervention will be discussed. Your child's intervention program will be based on their specific needs, understanding that each child has unique developmental capabilities.

Positive Parenting Program - Triple P

The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world, backed up by more than 35 years of ongoing research. Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behaviour and prevent problems from developing. Triple P is currently used in more than 25 countries and has been shown to work across cultures, socio-economic groups, and in many different kinds of structures.

Triple P gives parents the skills they need to become problem solvers and confidently manage their child’s issues independently, rather than relying on the ongoing support of a practitioner. For more information visit the Triple P website at
triplep.net.

Dr Rachael has completed advanced training with Prof Matt Sanders and his colleagues at the University of Queensland, where the Triple P program was developed. She has been involved with running parenting groups and researching the effectiveness of Triple P in group settings, along with individual programs for parents of children with disabilities. Dr Rachael is an accredited Triple P provider in the areas of Standard Triple P, Enhanced Triple P, and Stepping Stones Triple P (for children with disabilities).
